Fighter pilots sometimes train in simulations that resemble the real thing before they are sent on dangerous missions.  This is where virtual reality  can help. Virtual Realty immerses a person in a 3D environment, where people can train to fly airplanes and fight fires without risking their personal safety.

Multimedia artists use  pen-based graphics to create animations and bring their work to life.  They usually work with graphics tablets and use a stylus to create their work. This is one example of an authoring tool.

Another type of authoring tool is a video editor, which allows a person  to cut and paste different video segments together, so that they run seamlessly. The audio can also be manipulated as well.

Rip is the process of converting CDs into MP3 files that are stored in your computer.

In virtual reality situations, data gloves help a person interact with objects when they are immersed in their virtual reality environment.

A Cave 2 is a room that is surrounded with LCD screens, where a person becomes immersed in a virtual reality world.

The Xbox X is the latest generation Xbox with 8 core processors. It is capable of processing billions of calculations per second, allowing for almost life like graphics.

The Oculus is a virtual reality head set that brings gaming to a new level. It immerses players  in 3D virtual environments that feel and look real and lets the player experience the game firsthand.

Informational Kiosks are found in airports, hotels, and banks. In airports, these informational kiosks allow a person to get their boarding pass and skip the lines.  In hotels, they allow visitors to check in to their rooms without having to interact with a person.  Finally, in banks, these kiosks allow bank customers to check their balances, deposit money, or withdraw money. Even self check out lanes are becoming more commonplace as grocery stores  to find ways to cut costs and become more profitable.
